

If you're like me and you want to maintain several unique lists, you can do that with Tags. The default view of Tasks is a daily view, so any task you enter is assumed to be a task from today onward. You can save your lists to NextCloud or OwnCloud, Google Tasks, Apple Reminders, and just about any CalDAV server you have an account on. Tasks is a mobile-only application, but it's extremely flexible in what it can sync to.

Tasks is a free and open source app you can install from F-droid. this might be a good time to try one of these digital options out. Or, if you are that person scribbling tasks and notes on paper scraps and post-it notes that are lying. The website encourages existing users to download and use Microsoft To Do in its place. Wunderlist is an app for lists, loved by many, but gone for good as of May 6, 2020. As with other to-do list apps, it also now syncs across Mac, iOS, Android, Windows, and the web. To Do was revamped in September to include a dark mode option. Now, we want to dedicate all our time to growing that cross-suite experience that transforms how you achieve your goals and dreams," Microsoft said Monday. "With all our latest updates, we're confident in To Do being the best alternative for Wunderlist now and so we believe it's the right time to make the next move. In a blog post Monday, Microsoft said that users' favorite features from the list-making app can still be found in To Do, like listing groups (folders), steps (subtasks) and file attachments, and sharing and task assignments. When it first announced To Do, Microsoft said it planned to eventually retire Wunderlist. As of Monday, Wunderlist is no longer accepting new signups. But after May 6, Wunderlist to-dos will no longer sync.

Wunderlist will still be available in the meantime, and all user data will be accessible to export or import into To Do. Two years ago, Microsoft built its own To Do list-making app, incorporating many of the features from Wunderlist. Microsoft announced Monday that effective May 6, it's finally sunsetting the Wunderlist app that it acquired four years ago with the purchase of 6Wunderkinder.
